Those who are looking to take their journaling to the next level with guided tutor support, or for those looking to start a journalling habit to record feelings, daily life and inspiration to awaken a more courageous and creative self.

Course outline

This NEW 12 week course is a very special journey of two halves. In the first 6 weeks we work with tutor given prompts and mixed media ideas and techniques, to ground you in a working practice for self-expression. Through combining visual and written journaling, we weave in textures, images, words, pattern, layers to bring your ideas to life. We will be building everyday creative consciousness, allowing you to be living more mindfully present in all your senses. In the second half of this course, we look to connect with your own personal motivations and life experiences, and grow your project for continued journaling. Finally, we meet a month later to reflect on independent progress, and further deepen our creative rituals.

Testimonials

( from our previous course, Experimental Image Making)

"I really looked forward to this class each week, a space for me to get creative and be in the moment, it was almost meditative, a peaceful space away from family life and quality me time! Each session brought new surprises and techniques that I had never tried before. I would highly recommend it."

Gemma Hannah, ( Storyteller & Wellness Practitioner )

"The class was fantastic! We covered a wide range of image-making methods while still allowing time to linger on techniques that really absorbed us. Harriet is excellent at balancing a structured syllabus with student-led learning. As a graphic designer working digitally, it was a delight to let my creative side get messy in the real world. The class gave a new source of creative expression and inspiration that I was able to bring to my design work. I truly looked forward to [it] each week.  "
